Living Earth Gatherings

Living Earth gathered activists from two dozen social change organizations in Portland to meet with Korten in May 2006. The goal was to stimulate a fresh perspective of the issues and projects we all work on to heal the myriad wounds of our world.

Praxis Peace Institute

Korten visited Sonoma in May 2006. Prior to his visit, several members from Praxis Peace Institute engaged in deep discussion of how The Great Turning could serve individuals and communities using a discussion format. In May 2006, Korten gave his public presentation at the First Unitarian Church of Portland. Prior to his visit , the Rev. Dr. Marilyn Sewell gave her sermon based on reading The Great Turning. We're told she received a standing ovation for her powerful and heartfelt words.
